Having a house party? BBQ? Birthday? Then why not hire a keg or cask!
This is the traditional method of serving beer where the yeast is still present in the cask. Yeast acts as a natural preservative so the beer has a longer shelf life (up to 3 months), but once opened, it should be consumed within one week. For the beer to pour clear the yeast needs to settle to the bottom of the cask. This usually takes 24 hours, during which the cask should be in a cool place and should not be disturbed until the after beer is consumed. Cask beer should be served at 10-14 degrees. We will provide you with a tap, stand and everything you need to dispense your beer.
The cask is filled with yeast-free clear beer and a small amount of carbon dioxide is added, resulting in the beer having a little more ‘sparkle’ and fizz. Due to no yeast being present in the cask there is no need for it to settle which means it is great for transporting and drinking straight on arrival. Bright beer does not have any preservatives present so it needs to be kept cold and used within 2-3 days of opening. Cask beer should be served at 10-14 degrees. We will provide you with a tap, stand and everything you need to dispense your beer.
This is perfect if you want cold, carbonated beer. Our keg system includes a party pump, which uses air pressure to dispense your beer, so there are no gas canisters to worry about. We'll also supply a large sturdy bucket, so you can pour ice around of the keg to keep it cold. Once you start pouring the keg the beer should be consumed in one day.
Bag in Box
Bag in Box beer is perfect if you want ale but don't want to worry about returning a cask. The bag has a tap installed in it and there is no need to return this to us after your party. Please check to see which ales are available.
Bag in Box is available in 10 or 20 litres and the beer will be similar to cask ales.
